The “Witness” is a series of smaller works by Helen Norton built into a theme that takes an “over the top” look at one man’s life running alongside his dogs life and an examination of the affects and outpours where the man refuses to “express” the complexity of his emotions and the dog has to do it for him in order to survive it seems.

Sounds a bit “simple”? Don’t we wish it was! The point is to explore the “complexity” within such a simple process of a life and how a simplistic overview is a lot harder to get to than we are told. Also how important it is for us to take responsibility for our projections onto others especially those we love.
